CLAEN AND SIMPLE CARD/THE FLOWER CHALLENGE

CAS stands for Clean And Simple. The Flower challenge this month is all about clean and simple. Here comes my post for The Flower Challenge #57.

Hello Everyone !

Welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by.

When it comes to CAS I struggle the most. It really is a challenge for me as I can never settle with simple. So my clean and simple still consists of a little glitz and a little glam.

BACKGROUND

For my background I ripped a printer paper and layered on a panel of Neenah card-stock so that a little strip would show through. I taped it so it wouldn’t move. I started ink blending using Distressed Oxide inks in Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry and Seedless Preserve. When I removed the printer paper I got this cool look of ink blended strip.

FOCUS

I used Altenew Ditsy Print Stamp set. For the simplicity required by the challenge I only used the outline stamp in Ranger Archival Ink in black and instead of using colors on my floral image i used gold ink to stamp the layering stamp. The gold I used is Tsuneko Brilliance.

SENTIMENT

The sentiment I used says Stay Beautiful which is from the Altenew Beautiful Peony stamp set. I love the font and style of this sentiment stamp. I think it compliments my card design really well.

EMBELLISHMENT

Like I said before I can never settle with simple on my card project. I was still feeling like I needed a little something on my card. But I forced myself to not overdo it and just add a few black iridescent gems on the center of my flowers.

This completed my card for today. Hope this inspired you.

Let’s play along at The Flower Challenge and share your projects over there.

Hugs

Jyoti

    1. Thank you so much Hillary. It was just a piece of ripped paper used to mask too. Nothing fancy. Hope you give it a try. Thank you for stopping by. ❤️

  1. I recently saw that torn paper technique and you executed it perfectly, Jyoti. It add such a fun look to an ink blended strip. Those tiny flowers flow across it beautifully.

  2. This is a one-layer beauty Jyoti!! I love your CAS design with the beautifully blended background and your flurry of pretty flowers. The gold adds lots of glitz and glammer.
