Nordic Bird Winter Cards

Hello! Welcome to my world of crafting adventure. Today I am sharing Nordic bird Winter cards, inspired by a carefully curated palette of muted browns, blues, and a hint of green. This collection promises a visual feast. Join me on a journey through the meticulous assembly of the Nordic Birds, set against textured backgrounds and snowflakes borders. As sentiments gleam in white, the artful assembly of these cards unfold, each embellished with a gemstone finale. This project is not just about cards; it’s a symphony of colors, a celebration of creativity, and an invitation to share in the joy of the festive season.

Palette Perfection

In the quest for a captivating color scheme, I turned to a 60lb cardstock pack from Michael’s, unveiling a palette of muted browns, blues, and a touch of muted green. This previously curated paper selection became the muse for my Nordic bird Christmas cards, eliminating the need to create a color scheme from scratch.

Assembling The Nordic Birds

Using the Nordic Bird Craft Die, I crafted five enchanting birds, each donning a unique combination of the muted hues. While the palette remained constant, the variation in bird assembly added a delightful touch of individuality. From this collection, three avian wonders took center stage in my project.

Textured Backgrounds And Snowflake Borders

Elevating the backdrop, I embossed 4.25″ x 5.5″ card-stock pieces with the Spellbinders Monoline Stars embossing folder, infusing a celestial touch. The snowflake border cover die, die-cut in white on Neenah 110lb cardstock, gracefully adorned the top. Complementing the avian elegance, I incorporated glittering circles using the Simple Rings Craft Die and matching Poppystamps 6 by 6 pack papers for the birds to sit on.

Sentiments In White

Bringing sentiments to life, I utilized the Christmas Banners Clear Stamp Set . Heat embossed in white on coordinating cardstock pieces, the messages exuded elegance. To intensify the sparkle, additional banners were cut from glitter card-stock scraps, subtly layered behind the heat-embossed sentiments.

Artful Assembly

Crafting each card with precision, I embarked on the assembly process. A2 card bases became the canvas. The embossed color card-stock laid the foundation, followed by the snowflake border. While the brown card received a meticulous placement of foam tape behind the border, the other two cards opted for a simpler approach without compromising the visual impact. Glittering circles took their place at the top center, followed by the Nordic birds, each positioned on foam tape. The sentiments found their home beneath the circles, completing the symphony of colors.

Gemstone Finale

To add a final touch of glamour, iridescent gems from Studio Katia adorned the snowflakes’ centers. The Nordic Bird Winter cards stood as a testament to the harmonious blend of a thoughtfully chosen color palette, meticulous craftsmanship, and a touch of festive sparkle. The finished set was ready to bring joy and elegance to the holiday season.

I hope this symphony of colors sparks your creativity! If you embark on a similar project, don’t forget to tag me on social media. Let’s share the joy of crafting together.

Hugs.

Jyoti
