Romantic Ruffle Card and Rachel Vass Release

Hello Everyone!

Today I have a beautiful floral card to share with you. I created this card featuring Rachel Vass latest release called Romantic Ruffle. This digital stamp consists of a beautiful loose peony flower and a few sentiments.

Here’s my card for today:

Card made using Rachel Vass release called Romantic Ruffle

For the main focus of this card I layered the flower one on top of another slightly in an angle so it looks like two flowers facing away from each other.

I printed it on a mixed media paper. Because I wanted to watercolor these flowers using distressed inks. Unfortunately my printer doesn’t feed heavyweight watercolor card-stock so I have to compromise and use mixed media paper which is a 95lb weight.

I taped the panel on a hard board using some washi tapes on all sides and started coloring it using Tim Holtz’s Distressed Inks in color Worn Lipstick and Peacock Feathers.

For the center of the flower I used some gold metallic watercolor for extra interest.

Once my watercolor painting was dry, I cut the panel using a stitched rectangle die from Mama Elephant. This die is exactly the size of an A2 card front. I use this die a lot.

Then I adhered this panel on a top folding landscape A2 card base made of Recollection Heavy weight card base in white.

I hope you get inspired by this and will create something similar.
