Romantic Heart Valentine’s Day Card

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. This Romantic Heart Valentine’s Day card is perfect for this occasion.

This post will be my last one for Spellbinders Club Kits for 2022. I have shared previous posts featuring all the other monthly club kits from Spellbinders for the month of December. Today my romantic heart Valentine’s Day card features the Clear Stamp and Die Club for Dec 22 from Spellbinders. This stamp is all about love and hearts. Fun floral designs on the hearts send out romantic vibe.

Here is what the stamp set looks like:

Hello Everyone!

Here is my take on it.

I have created an A2 size card with one of the large heart stamp and the sentiment today.

I started off by stamping the heart and the sentiment on a white card-stock with Versamark Embossing Ink. Then I embossed using Gold Embossing Powder. Lately, the Gold Embossing powder from Brutus Monroe has become my favorite gold embossing powder. I then colored the flowers and leaves on the heart using Copic markers.

After heat-setting the embossing, I used the coordinating die to cut out the heart and paper trimmer to cut the sentiment in a strip.

For the background. I took a panel of pale pink pattern paper with peonies. I think it goes well with my card design. Then I embossed a piece of pink card-stock about half an inch smaller on all sides besides the top. I used the Embossing Folder of The month for Dec 22. Then I splattered some gold paint on it. To create a border, I matted this embossed panel with another lighter pink card-stock piece leaving one eights inch border around it leaving the top edge flushed with the top of the card-base.

Then I added the heart with foam tape with some gold thread swirled behind it. After that comes the placement of the sentiment strip. I just added the sentiment strip directly on the card-base with liquid glue at the bottom right of the heart.

Finally, I added some clear sequins to embellish my card and called this one done. Wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and a very Happy New Year 2023.

Hugs,
