Spellbinders Stamp Of The Month

Spellbinders have released the Stamp Of The Month for October 22. This Stamp is a beautiful Christmas Foliage with Some Christmas sentiments.

I have created a card using this stamp and coordinating die set in blue wintery color combination.

Here is what I have come up with:

My Background

I took a piece of pattern paper with snowflakes pattern on it for the background. You can hardly see the pattern in the photos because I inked it with Hickory Smoke Distressed oxide ink to tone it down a little.

Then took another piece of Card-stock, embossed it with the Embossing Folder of the Month for Oct 22. I matted it with silver card-stock.

The Focus

For the main focus of this card I stamped the large floral cluster from the Stamp of the month Oct 22 and one small poinsettia image on Watercolor paper. Then I started coloring the image with my Karin Marker in some cool but muted tones. Blues, grays and browns. I didn’t spend too much time coloring this image. As I just wanted a hint of color to this beautiful image.

I then die-cut the images using the coordinating dies. After that I added the large cluster with foam tape on the left top corner. Whereas the smaller flower was perfect on the side. I left the bottom for the sentiment.

Sentiment

At last my sentiment came from the Small Die Of The Month For Oct 22 I chose ” Merry Christmas ” for this card. The words in the same blue card-stock as the embossed background. For the layering outline I used silver card-stock.

This finished my card. Hope this inspired you to create beautiful cards with the Stamp and Die Club from Spellbinders for October 22.
