Use A Shape/The Flower Challenge #61

Hello everyone!
We here at The Flower Challenge are celebrating our 5th anniversary. Check out the whole lot of prizes by generous sponsors on The The Flower Challenge blog.

This month’s theme is ‘Use a Shape’ . For my project today instead of using a shape die or a shaped card I decided to arrange my flowers in a shape of heart. I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire’s video about using small dies creatively.

Here let me show you my card so you understand what I meant.

I used Bohemian cover plate by Simon Says Stamp to create the fun pierced background. But I still wanted my focus on my heart shape.

These small flowers are perfect for my arrangement. With different shades of purple card-stock I created the flowers using the Craft A Flower die from Altenew. This one is called Dendrobium Orchid Layering Die set. Smaller flowers looked better within the shape so I skipped the larger ones.

In order to complete the proper heart shape I added some enamel dots in colors that matched with my floral arrangement.

Finally to complete the card I added the die-cut hello and sending you a big hug sentiment strip underneath.

This completed my card . I just can’t stop staring at this card as I think it turned out so pretty. What do you think?

Hope this inspires you to participate in the flower challenge with us for a chance to win prizes.
