Alex Syberia Feb 2021 Release / Valentine’s Day Card

Hello Everyone!

We have a new release by Ales Syberia Designs. This release is full of cute love theme digital stamps that are perfect for Valentine’s Day Cards.

I have three cards to share with you today. I have used three different stamps from this release along with other sentiments and dies from different companies.

The First Card

Gnomes are so popular in greeting cards these days. I have created a bunch of Holiday Cards using gnome images. This image of a gnome couple is just so adorable. I decided to color them in pink shades of Copics.

Sometimes you feel like you never have enough copic marker to create the color combination of my liking. I thought I had too many reds and pinks but for this card I wanted to use soft pinks which I didn’t have. I decided on the hot pinks instead.

The background for this card is one of the Hero Arts Cover Die. I cut this with white 80lb card-stock and layered on top of an ink blended panel. I used this new color of the distressed oxide ink Speckled Eggs for the first time which was blended with Broken China and Evergreen Bough. I love how it looks like ocean.

The sentiment that says I Love You is from one of the Hero Arts Monthly Card kits from long time ago. I stamped and heat embossed with white on black and cut around it using a pair of scissors.

This finishes my first card.

The Second Card

Look how cute are these donuts. I admire Alex’s illustration talent so much. Her digital stamps are so beautifully drawn and fun to work with.

This one is called Cute Donuts. I’ve printed one of the readymade A2 card panel that Alex has designed. Coloring digital images in copics are my to go.

I colored these cute donuts in Earth tones of Copic markers. Cut the panel slightly smaller than an A2 card-base and added with foam tape for dimension.

When I saw this image I remebered that I had the sentiment from Hero arts stamp that goes with this image so well.

The sentiment I donut know what i’d do without you is stamped and embossed in white on black card-stock . I then added the sentiment of foam tape.

This finished my second card.

The Third Card

Last but not the least this card is my favorite of these three.

If these heart cookies were real I wouldn’t eat them but would just keep looking at them. They are so adorable. I used one of the readymade border of cookies for my card.

I colored this image with copics in reds and browns. I am still a beginner with copic coloring. I wanted to create a glaze on the cookies but didn’t turn out as good as I had thought.

I then cut it out using scissors and adhered using foam tapes.

I ink blended the background using Abandoned Coral, Barn door and Aged Mahogany Distressed Oxide inks which I think matched perfectly with my copic colors of the cookies.

The sentiment is again from another Hero Arts card kit. Embossed with white on the middle of the background panel. Looks like I have a Hero Arts and Alex Syberia collaboration going on. Plus Distressed oxide blends and Copic coloring.

This finishes my last card for today.

But I will be creating more cards with this release because as always all her stamps are irresistible.

Please do check out her Etsy Store and start coloring these cute and fun images.

Valentine’s Day card #3 Using alphabet dies from Altenew

Hello everyone. Today I am here with my 3rd Valentine’s day card. When I come up with one idea for a card and start working on that project it usually happens that I come up with another similar idea to make another card. I am sure all crafty people will totally understand what I mean. It’s like a chain reaction.

Here’s my card for today.

Same kind of idea but this time I popped up the die cut word “LOVE” on foam squares.

I used pattern  paper that is perfect for Valentine theme to cut out the word using my Silhouette cameo.  I love how there are millions of things you can do with your Silhouette machine. It’s totally worth investing in one of those machines.

The word “YOU” is cut out using Altenew die. I bought that die a few months ago when they released it. I can’t tell you how many times I have used that die so far.  Seems like I reach out for those on every project that I start doing.

Just background is a pretty pattern paper that looks like a watercolor piece.

I thought It was a little plain and simple with just the words on the watercolor background. But it doesn’t hurt to add extra bling to any project. I had this dark silver washi tape that I bought at staples a while ago. I decided to use a strip on the washi in the bottom and a little flag on the top left corner.

And that finished my card.  I love the combinations of pale pink and hint of red from the pattern paper with the dark gray of the washi tape. And of course black and white to contrast the look. How do you guys like it?

Love

Valentine’s Day Card #2 featuring Altenew Flurries 3D die

In case you guys must be wondering what I did with the negative piece of the red panel that I cut with the word “mine” from my previous card, I made another card with it.

I layered it with another white cardstock cut to slightly smaller than 4.25 by 5.5 inches.  Behind the openings of the word cutout I layered a special paper made in Nepal called Nepali kagaj.  This paper is handmade in Nepal using fibers from trees. You can see the texture of the paper in the picture.

I had some leftover flower die cuts from the previous card I made. The Rose Flurries 3D dies comes with 5 different flower shapes.

The word “YOU’RE” is from Concord & 9th stamp set. Stamped in Black Archival ink from Ranger and die cut in a rectangle with one of the Spellbinders die set.

The card was pretty as it is but I thought I could never go wrong with adding some clear jewel drops.

So here’s my 2nd card done. I hope you liked it. Don’t forget to comment below. I love hearing from you.

Valentine’s Day Card Featuring Altenew Flurries 3D Dies

Hello Everyone. Hope you are having a great January so far. Today I am here with my bright floral Valentine’s Day Cards.

When I saw this Rose Flurries 3D dies online on the blogs and instagram pictures, I had to have it. So i ordered this along with the Peony Dreams Die right away. They arrived last week. But I have been so busy with work and all , I finally got a chance to use it and turn it into beautiful cards just in time for Valentine’s Day.

I cut the word “Mine” using my Silhoutte Cameo. I thought a heart for the letter I would look cute. Then I cut a panel of 4 inches by 5 and 1/4th inches red cardstock aligning the word in the center of the panel.

Then I cut another panel of white cardstock the same size and adhered the letter cut outs on it. Stamped the word “Be” from one of the Simon Says Stamp stamp set.

I had already die cut some scraps of red shades of cardstock with my Rose Flurries 3D dies. It’s a layering die. What I love about these dies is that I can use up the tiniest scrap that I had been hoarding in my scrap stash. Adhered the layers together and amazingly beautiful roses were created. Did the same with the leaves.

I cut the main base of the card using Red cardstock. My card is 4 and the 1/4 by 5 and a 1/2 inches in dimensions.

The final job was to assemble the parts together. Which I found was the most fun.

Finally this beautiful Valentine’s day card was done. Hope you guys will like it. Please coment below. I always love to hear what you have to say.

Love

Jyoti
