The theme for this month is Use Your latest Stamps or dies.
Today I am sharing this card I created featuring this beautiful Iris stamp called Care and Hope Iris from Unity Stamps Company. This stamp is special for me as it was designed by my talented friend Sandhya Iyer.
The main focus of this card is this beautiful iris stamp. I have colored this image using copic markers. As copic markers are alchohol based it is important that you stamp the image with compatible ink. I have used Memento Tuxedo Black ink for this image.
The colors I have used for the flowers are V28, V25 and V22. The leaves are colored with YG67, YG17 and YG13.
I have cut the image using a pair of scissors.
The background stamp is called Love Story which is also from Unity Stamps. I stamped this on a white card-stock with Versamark Ink and embossed using Wow Embossing white detail embossing powder. Then I ink smooshed Distressed Oxide inks in Squeezed Lemonade and Mowed Lawn.
Then, I added a rectangle frame cut using two rectangle dies from Waffle Flowers. The frame and the flower are added with foam tape for dimension.
For the sentiment of the card, I stamped a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and embossed with white on purple strip of card-stock that matches the color of the flower perfectly.
I hope this will inspire you to create something like this.
