It’s August and we have new club kits released at Spellbinders already. I am showcasing the AMAZING PAPER GRACE DIE OF THE MONTH for Aug 22 today. It is one of the monthly club subscriptions.
I can’t tell you enough how much I love the intricate designs of Becca’s dies. This release has two intricate leafy trellis pieces that you can create a whole background by die cutting twice on a 5 by 7 card. You can even use one to create a slimline card like I did here.
I used the leafy trellis die to cut out a light grey card-stock. This die cuts just the designs but there’s another rectangle die in this set which you can use to cut around this design. On my card today I just used the design die.
Then I cut a wide rectangle border with holographic card-stock with the help of two slimline border dies from Gina Marie. I adhered the border on the grey pretty die-cut panel with glue.
A while back I created this pink watercolor background for another spellbinders card. I had a leftover piece that was just enough for the backdrop for my leafy trellis design.
After that I added the pink watercolor piece on the card base directly with liquid glue but the die cut piece with the wide holographic border was adhered with foam tape for dimension.
My card was already looking pretty with the beautiful die cut design however, adding extra floral arrangements on one side made it fabulous. I used silver ribbon from my stash. Some leaf die-cuts and these readymade flowers I bought from Etsy to decorate my card.
I left this one without a sentiment even though this die set has a beautiful “hugs” die in a beautiful font with a shadow die. I can add any sentiment later when I need to send this card.
Hope I was able to inspire you with my card today.
