Spellbinders’ Birthday Celebration Collection

Spellbinders is excited to celebrate their 20th Birthday with this Birthday Celebration Collection release.

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing a few cards I created using some of the dies and stamps from the Birthday Celebration Collection.

Topsy Turvy Cake birthday cards

I have created two cards featuring the TOPSY TURVY CAKE ETCHED DIES FROM THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS COLLECTION

Here’s my first one:

First of all I took some pattern appears that coordinated each other very well. I love this rich color palette of pinks, beiges and dark blues with rose glitter gold card-stock.

I started by die cutting all the pieces of the cakes in all these different pattern papers. The cake pieces have stars, diamond, stripes and circles cutouts in them. I added rose gold glitter card-stock pieces behind them .

Then I arranged the pieces of all the cakes starting from the largest in the bottom. All five cakes fit onto a slimline card front.

I decided to create another card in a regular A2 size.

For this one I used only three cakes.

The sentiments on both cards are from the COMPLIMENTARY SLIDER GREETINGS CLEAR STAMP SET FROM THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS COLLECTION

I stamped and embossed these sentiments with rose gold glitter embossing powder to match my rose gold glitter card-stock.

Here are the two cards together:

Baloon Animal Cards

I created two balloon animal cards. These cards feature the BALLOON PARTY ANIMAL ETCHED DIES FROM THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS COLLECTION

Here’s my first one in a girly color palette.

This die was my favorite of this release. Because of the cuteness of it and also the ease of being able to create beautiful card with just one impactful focal image in the front.

Like always, I started by die cutting the pieces of this animal balloon with dark pink card-stock. This die has holes in them so you can stencil the highlights through the dies to create dimension to these balloons.

For the background I took a beautiful floral pattern paper and covered the card front with it. After that, I took a white piece of card-stock and embossed it using the PARTY SPOTS EMBOSSING FOLDER FROM THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS COLLECTION.

Before I embossed the white panel I had stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment on it with black ink.

The sentiment is again from the COMPLIMENTARY SLIDER GREETINGS CLEAR STAMP SET FROM THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS COLLECTION

Here’s another one in a slightly more gender neutral color.

I die cut the ballon parts in teal color card-stock. Instead of adding the stenciled highlights on this one, I added a little white gel pen lines to suggest highlights.

The background is pattern paper with gold foiled stars. I popped up a panel of embossed piece of white card-stock leaving a quarter inch border.

For the sentiment of this card I stamped and embossed the sentiment on a piece of the same teal cardstock with white embossing powder.

Here are two cards side by side:

Which one is your favorite?

Slider Greetings Card

I had so much fun creating this one. It is an interactive card. I used PICK YOUR GREETING SLIDER ETCHED DIES FROM THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS COLLECTION for this one.

There is the pull tab on the left side of this card which can be moved so the arrow that says UR slides up and down pointing to each words on the right.

You could guess this one is in more masculine color theme.

I die-cut all the pieces with three different pattern papers that go with each other very well.

I glued an opposite color piece of paper behind the cutout words to create contrast.

There is other dies available which have the additional elements that you could add on this card. SLIDER BAR ACCENTS ETCHED DIES FROM THE BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS COLLECTION. I didn’t use that one here today.
