Pencil coloring digital stamps is something I’ve been doing a lot lately.
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.
I am definitely a beginner in pencil coloring but I am learning as I’m coloring.
I have a few cards to share with you today.
First card

My first card can be a little bit more masculine card I think because it’s not floral. This is a very neatly illustrated Aloe Closeup digital stamp by Alex Syberia.

I printed this image on a 60lb weight white card stock and cut it to 4 inches by 5 and a quarter inches.
I then started coloring using my color pencils. I picked all the green color pencils I own by Prosmacoloror and Polychromos. A reference photo of an aloe plant is what I thought would be helpful to use to color this .

I then started coloring the image accordingly picking light or dark shades of green. I then blended the color using prismacolor colorless blender pencil. I added some dark green to the shadowed areas.

The sentiment is from one of the Hero Arts stamp set stamped and embossed on a dark gray cardstock. I then matted this on another piece of dark gray cardstock cut slightly bigger than it.
Then to finish it off I mounted it on a A2 size top folding card base made with heavyweight 110 lb white cardstock.
Second Card

My second card features this beautiful succulent illustration by Alex Syberia. I am so impressed by how beautifully this image is drawn.

I colored this image in purples and blues. I wanted to mimic the look of this bluish/purplish succulent I found an image online.

This image is a little bit elongated than a regular card size so I wanted to create a slimline card with it. But since I didn’t measure the image before printing I ended up getting smaller image to cover the whole slimline card front. The colored piece was matted with black cardstocks slightly bigger than it. Adhered this is using foam tape.

So I added the sentiment on the bottom to cover for the mistake I made. The sentiment is from Altenew stamp, stamped and embossed in white on black . The word die is also from Altenew Scripty Words.

I finished off this card with some black flat sequins added with the help of art glitter glue.
The Third Card

Here’s the third card I created using Sweet Gardenia digital stamp by Alex Syberia. I printed this fussy cut it out using scissors. I colored this image in a little different style than the first two cards.

Using the pink shades of sharp polychromos pencils. I colored the shadow parts of this flowers to create depth and dimension to this beautiful flower image. Leaving a lot of white areas for highlights. This flower is added on the card using foam tapes.

The background is an embossed piece using spellbinders embossing folder. Matted with pink cardstock that matches the color of the flower.
I layered a small piece of ink blended cardstock cut with scallop border die from MFT stamps. A strip of glitter cardstock added to decorate the strip.

The sentiment hello is a word die from MFT stamps. It is cut with a pink cardstock dipped in embossing ink and embossed using sparking clear embossing powder and then added on it’s background die cut.
This card has already a lot going on so I feel like it didn’t need any embellishments.
I hope you liked these cards I created mainly focusing on pencil coloring techniques and Alex Syberia digital Release from May 2020.
