Spellbinders Large Die for Nov 22 is yet another beautiful kaleidoscope slimline die set. I love the layered look of kaleidoscope dies and the possibility of endless combinations I can use this die for.
This die set makes an easy but beautiful card as the card layout is self-explanatory. It’s just a matter of deciding the color combination of your choice. I picked light shades of purple and gold on white background for my cards.
My first card is this slimline happy birthday card. For this card, I used the die set as it is intended. I die-cut all the pieces out with two light shades of purple cardstock and white cardstock. For the top highlighted thin layers of the flowers, I used Mirror Gold Cardstock.
I added a piece of purple cardstock behind the gridlike background design. After assembling the three layers of the flower design I popped these up with foam tape for extra dimension.
For the sentiment, I used the same purple cardstock to cut out happy birthday and then layered a piece of the gold strip behind it. I then added the sentiment strip with liquid glue on the center flower.
With this my card is ready. I do not think any extra embellishment is required for this card.
My second card is an A2 size card. Just to show you that you are not limited to creating cards only the way this die is intended. There are endless possibilities for using this die. Here I have used only one flower and four leaves to create an A2-size card. You can also create a whole background with just the flowers or just the leaves.
I used the same color palatte like my first card for this one too. For the background I just created three debossed lines around it using a score board and bone folder. We all have that as it’s an essential tool in cardmaking.
I assembled one flower and four leaves. Then I added the flower in the upper center of my cardfront with two leaves peeking out from two corners.
To finish this card I just added a strip of Happy Birthday sentiment created same way as on my first card along the bottom of my flower.
What I loved aout these two cards was how easy were they to create. Hope this inspires you. Here is the link to the card I created using previous month’s Large Die Club.
The Stamp and Die Club for Nov 22 from Spellbinders is this unique floral motif stamp with some beautifully designed sentiments. It also has coordinating die sets to cut out the motif images and sentiments.
For the main focus of my card, I heat embossed the larger of the two arch motif images with gold embossing powder. I used Spellbinders Terra Cotta card stock and then die-cut the image using its coordinating die.
Since I placed the image on the left-hand bottom corner, I wanted the sentiment to be on the right-hand top corner to balance my composition. For the sentiment, I stamped and embossed “sending love”
Here you can see the shine of the gold embossing on the terra cotta cardstock. I love how it looks.
With this, I finished my card today. I did not think this card required any extra embellishment.
Did this inspire you??

Today I’m sharing all together 6 cards, all created with the Glimmer Hot Foil of the month for Nov 22. Before I have my hot foil machine out and ready to start foiling I like to cut a few card-stocks and foils and be ready with the glimmer plate. Because once you have your hot foil machine ready and hot it’s a lot easier to foil a bunch of images and die cut.
Here is what this plate for this month looks like:
This hot foil plate is just one piece but it creates a bunch of images at once. This set also contains a die that cuts out each individual image all at once. Isn’t that convenient? Now you know how I created 6 cards at one sitting. The rest is all arranging these images on your card front.
Since I was going to create 6 cards; after getting all the images foiled and die cut ready to go on the cards, I cut 6 card bases all at once and then scored and folded. My cards measure 4 and a quarter by 5 and a half inches in dimensions.
All my cards today focus on these beautiful foiled floral images . I foiled red, cream and grey card stocks using the glimmer foil of the month foil plate. I used Aura Glimmer Foil on all these cards today.
Then I arranged some floral pieces on each panel mixing and matching the colors. All these arrangements are different if you noticed them. After I was happy with the arrangements I started adhering them on my card panels. I added some with glue and some with foam tape.
This foil plate set contains one sentiment and also the die to cut it. But you don’t have to foil and cut this separately. All the flowers and sentiment is gust one foil plate and one die. That’s what I love about this set.
This finished my cards. It took me about an hour and a half to create all these beautiful cards. Also I don’t think too much about the card design. I usually go with whatever feels right to me at the moment when it comes to designing cards. So were these cards inspiring? Let me know. I would love to hear your thoughts about them.

The beautiful foiled and colored image is my main focus on this card. I foiled the floral design on a Spellbinders White Card-stock with GLIMMER HOT FOIL ROLL – GOLD. This design foiled beautifully on a white card-stock. I then picked a few of my favorite Copic colors in oranges and pinks and started coloring the image. Don’t be surprised if I tell you this was my first time coloring a hot foiled image with alcohol markers. Oh how I loved that I didn’t have to worry about staying in the lines. You know why? It’s because the foiled lines just resisted the color. After the coloring was done I die cut the image using the outline die that is included in this set.
The colored focal image was just so beautiful I wanted a plain background for my card. The reason is I wanted no other distraction on this project. So you can just admire the focal image. But I wanted to add some textures to the otherwise plain and simple background. So, I dry embossed the Spellbinders black card-stock with Spreading Love Embossing Folder which was the Embossing Folder of the month for January 22.
This Hot Foil plate set also contains two sentients, one says “With Love” and the other one says “Just For You”. This set also has two sentiment strip dies to cut the foiled sentiments out. I will be using both of these sentiments on my cards today. For this first card I used the “With Love” . I foiled a bunch of these sentiments in black card-stock and white card-stock with gold hot foil. Usually I like to get quite a few of these ready for future also.
Firstly, I created the focus of this card with a bunch of flowers in a heart. I began by die-cutting some flowers and leaves with Spellbinders Color Essential Card-stocks in pinks and oranges. After that I also die cut a heart with yellow card-stock. I believe this is the second largest from the set. Then I arranged the flowers in a bunch coming out from the bottom of the heart and cutting the long stems off.
I created a background same way as I did for my first card.
I used a “Just for You ” sentiment for this card. I foiled it with gold on black card-stock.
Same as before I added some gold pearls to decorate my card.
I crated a focal image on this card by die-cutting a heart in green card-stock and arranging the flowers in a way that it looks like a pattern. All the flowers are coming in from all corners. Some flowers are added with liquid glue and some are added on foam tape. So there are different levels of dimension. It’s easier to die-cut and assemble a whole lot of flowers and then you come up with ideas to arrange them differently.
All my cards today have the same background. I love how this rainbow of hearts goes so well with all my cards. It takes the ‘deciding on the background’ part away so you can create a lot of cards in no time. Also these cards look like a set.
Again I wouldn’t leave this card without embellishment. So, I used the Fashion Gold Embellishment in groups of three on to right and bottom left of this card to finish this card.
I am in love with these cards. Hope you like them too. So, was I able to inspire you to create somewhat similar to what I have created here? Let me know.
