Hello crafty friends! Today I’m excited to share two cards I made using the adorable Mom’s Kitchen stamp set and Mom’s Kitchen die set from Papertrey Ink. These sets are perfect for creating sweet kitchen scenes full of charm and cozy details. I’m also thrilled to be guest designing for Papertrey Ink this month — it’s been such an amazing opportunity and I’m so grateful!
I started by stamping and die cutting a big batch of kitchen tools and utensils using inks from Simon Says Stamp. I wanted two different color palettes to keep the cards unique, so for my first card I chose a teal and peach combination, and for my second card I went with a cheerful yellow and orange theme. I had so much fun mixing and matching all the little pieces!
For my first card, I created a cozy teal kitchen scene. I used a patterned paper background that matched beautifully with my teal kitchen tools — it looks just like wallpaper! I also die cut a white counter cabinet for the base of the scene. Some of the kitchen tools are arranged on top of the counter, while others are hanging neatly from little hooks attached to a shelf above.
To finish off the first card, I added a sweet sign at the very top that says “Home is where your mom is.” It’s such a heartwarming sentiment and really ties the whole kitchen scene together. I loved layering all the elements to make the card feel like a real, lived-in space full of love.
For my second card, I shifted to a brighter, sunnier look. I used a yellow patterned paper background but added an embossed white panel where my kitchen scene would sit. The white panel really helped all the colorful kitchen tools pop against the background and added lots of texture without overwhelming the design.
This time, I created a shelf that holds some of the kitchen tools on top while others hang underneath. I played around with the arrangement until everything felt balanced. I placed a sign above the shelf that says “Made with Love” — it perfectly captures the spirit of homemade cooking and the warmth that comes from a kitchen filled with love.
Each card was so much fun to build — kind of like decorating a miniature kitchen! I really enjoyed mixing all the colors, textures, and elements to create these cozy little scenes. I love how both cards feel different yet are tied together by the same stamp and die sets.
Thank you so much again to Papertrey Ink for having me as a guest designer this month! It’s been such a joy to create with their beautiful products, and I can’t wait to share even more with you soon. I hope you enjoy a closer look at all the photos of my finished cards!
Thank you so much for stopping by today — I hope these cozy kitchen cards inspire you to create something sweet and heartwarming too!
Hugs,
Jyoti
