Fun Floral Card / The Flower Challenge #65

Fun floral cards are always my favorite. This month’s theme for our challenge at The Flower Challenge #65 is ”Occasions”

Hello everyone!

Every month at The Flower challenge our designers create inspirations for the month’s challenge. This month our theme is “Occasions”. I have chosen Birthday as the occasion for my card, since Birthday Cards are the most I send out. And who doesn’t love a fun floral card?

Here’s my take on today’s inspiration project.

Fun floral card 1

Focus

For the main focus of my card today I created a fun cluster of flowers with the help of Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms. I used the colors mustard yellow ,light brown ,black and white for my flowers and green for the leaves.

One of the Rifle Paper Co. prints I had seen on Pinterest inspired the color scheme for todays card and these floral dies also looked like them.

Background

For the background of my card, I picked a dry embossed panel with a black mat and a white border around it. This embossing folder is by spellbinders and this is one of the Embossing Folder of the month subscription. This embossing folder is large so you can even create a slimline panel with it.

Sentiment

For the sentiment, I picked this beautiful word die from Spellbinders which is called Yana’s Layered Script Sentiment. As the occasion I chose was Birthday, this die was perfect. I just love the font of these intricate dies. The strip on top that says it’s your is a part one of an old Simon Says Stamp sentiment stamp.

At last, I finished my card. So, if you are inspired by this card come and join us at The Flower Challenge and post your link.

Hugs
