As I sat down in my craft room, surrounded by the promise of creativity, I couldn’t help but be drawn to the new COPPERPLATE EVERYDAY SENTIMENTS from Spellbinders. In this post I am featuring COPPERPLATE CONGRATULATIONS PRESS PLATE, COPPERPLATE MISS YOU PRESS PLATE and COPPERPLATE THINKING OF YOU PRESS PLATE. These exquisite betterpress plates hold the power to elevate any project with their timeless elegance. Today, I embarked on a journey to weave these sentiments into a symphony of heartfelt cards.
Bold Big Sentiments
These elegant and bold sentiment plates are meant to be used with the Spellbinders Betterpress System and create a fun and unique letterpress look on the card. But instead I got the tickle of using them with the Glimmer Hot foild and foiling them. The results were nothing short of enchanting, each impression a testament to the beauty of craftsmanship.
A Dance of Silver and Pink
Armed with my trusty Glimmer Hot Foil machine, I embarked on the first step of my creative odyssey. The navy blue cardstock awaited its transformation, as I delicately applied silver foil to the Copperplate sentiments. Meanwhile, the pristine white panels eagerly embraced the blush of pink foil, whispered onto them by the Copperplates. I created 8 foiled panels with these three copperplates altering either the orientation or the position in order to get different looks on all these panels.
The Be Bold Bloom Die Set
With my sentiments aglow, it was time to summon the essence of nature itself. The BE BOLD BLOOM DIE SET emerged from its resting place, offering an array of petals, leaves, and stems like treasures waiting to be discovered. I chose a palette of pink and orange for the flowers, while verdant green would bring life to the leaves and branches. Each delicate piece was a brushstroke in the masterpiece I was creating.
A Symphony of Arrangement
As the floral elements took shape in my hands, I reveled in the joy of composition. Each card was a canvas, waiting to be adorned with a unique tapestry of blooms. With meticulous care, I arranged and rearranged the flowers until they danced harmoniously across the panels. Some were held in place with a gentle touch of liquid glue, while others rose from the surface with the help of foam tape, adding depth and intrigue to the ensemble.
A Tapestry of Cards
With a sense of satisfaction, I affixed the adorned panels to their A2 card bases, completing the transformation from raw materials to works of art. Though each card bore a semblance of similarity, no two were alike. Each bore the imprint of my creativity, a reflection of the love and care poured into its creation.
In the quiet moments of crafting, we find solace and connection. Through the artful interplay of sentiment and bloom, I found not only joy in creation but also the opportunity to touch hearts and lift spirits. As I send these tokens of affection into the world, I am reminded once again of the power of handmade gestures to weave threads of love and warmth across distances, one card at a time.
